  2. OWASA’s Open House at the Cane Creek Reservoir

    The community is cordially invited to OWASA’s Open House at the Cane Creek Reservoir on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (rain or shine). The Open House will feature: • Fishing rodeo with prizes for children 12 and under (accompanied by adult guardian) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. • OWASA information about watershed protection and water resources • North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission information about fisheries management and wildlife • United States Coast Guard Auxiliary information about water, boating and marine safety • Audubon North Carolina bird walk • Free coffee, donuts and Maple View ice cream while supplies last Come join OWASA and our partners for a couple hours of educational fun and fellowship!

    Parents and young children (5 & under) can come enjoy some unstructured playtime in the spacious Century Hall. There will be music to dance to, blocks, crawl tunnels, and other toys to play with and plenty of space. It will be a great opportunity to meet new friends and playmates. No registration required. Ages: 1-5

  6. Pumpkin Carving/Decorating Contest

    October 27, 2017, 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM @ Carrboro Town Commons (Farmer's Market Location)

    Carve, paint or decorate your own pumpkin and then bring it to Carrboro Town Commons on Monday, October 31st between 9:30am- :00pm. Pumpkins will be displayed that night at the Annual Halloween Carnival. Citizens will have a chance to vote from 6pm - 8pm on which pumpkin they like best. The winner will be announced and presented a gift card at 8:15pm. All entries must be received by 3:00pm on Friday, October 27th at Carrboro Town Commons. Please Note: Nothing obscene, political or religious statements will be allowed.
