The Orange County Emergency Operations Center is sponsoring the drive with no-contact, drop-off sites in the northern and southern parts of the county.

When and where

The drop-off sites will be open 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting Wednesday, April 8, and including Good Friday, April 10.

Locations are:

  • Hillsborough Town Hall Annex, 105 E. Corbin St. in Hillsborough
  • Carrboro Town Hall, 301 W. Main St. in Carrboro

Donate

The community is asked to donate items they already have vs. shopping for items. Items to donate include:

  • Non-perishable unopened food.
  • Unopened hand sanitizer.
  • Baby and child care supplies.
  • Pet supplies.

Leave these at home:

  • Clothing
  • Perishable, frozen or refrigerated food items
  • Homemade human or pet foods
  • Prescription or over-the-counter drugs/supplements

See the attached flyer for a full listing of items to donate. Donations will go to a central sorting and storage facility to be accessed by existing community nonprofit feeding partners.

Donors should place items in the trunk or hatch of their vehicle or in the bed of their pickup truck. They should stay in their vehicles when at the drop-off site. A volunteer will take donations out of vehicles.
