About the Applications
Carrboro GIS This is the main interactive Carrboro map.
Find Carrboro Addresses This searches for Carrboro addresses by street name. Type a street name (e.g. Weaver for Weaver St). Type just the street name, not Rd or St, E or W. The address and parcel data in this application is updated monthly. The addresses include only Carrboro addresses.
Find Adjacent Owners This searches for property owners within a distance of a parcel. You can find the parcel by searching for the address, then run a buffer of 1000 feet (by default) or another distance you specify. The list of owners can be downloaded into Microsoft Excel.The address and parcel information in this application is updated monthly. The addresses include only Carrboro addresses.
Zoning The Zoning Application includes an interactive Carrboro zoning map and information about the zones. Query the parcels in the map to obtain owner, address, or other parcel information for a parcel within a zone. Select the zone hotlink in the map or select a zone from a list to obtain definitions, setbacks, and permitted uses. Select a land use and get information about permitted land uses in Carrboro.
Current Development The Current Development layer on the Zoning and Development page gives information about and locations for active development projects in Carrboro's planning jurisdiction.
CHCCS Schools The CHCCS application shows the current school districts in the Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS), with parcel and neighborhood information. You can search for an address within the school district.
Download Carrboro Digital Data Download digital files of Carrboro data. The data is in tiles, which you pick from a map. Currently available: 1998 topography (2-foot contours) in .dxf format, zipped, and 2003 orthophotography in MrSid (.sid) format. Town-wide layers for some Carrboro data is available in shapefile or .dxf format.
