Recreation and Parks Commission
The Carrboro Recreation and Parks Commission is a eleven-member commission that is appointed by the Board of Aldermen and serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Aldermen on recreation and parks issues.

Members of the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Commission are involved in some of the special events that are held during the year (i.e., Fourth of July Community, Celebration, Halloween Carnival, etc.)
