Babysitting Training |

This babysitting training course offers first aid and
safety training, developmental guideline and marketing
strategies to obtain babysitting jobs. Participants
will receive certification in infant and child CPR basic
instruction. This class focuses on babysitting skills
needed for children ages 2 & up.

Beginning Guitar |
 |
Students
will learn to identify and understand time
and key signatures, note values, scales, chord charts,
musical form, and the elements of staff notation. The
instructors will work with students on sight reading
melodies and strumming rhythm patterns with open chords.
Students will perform several tunes both individually
and in ensembles. No guitars provided.

If you want to learn the
basics of chess or add some skills to your game, this
class is just for you! Participants will learn the rules
and strategy of the game. Learning chess is a great way
to increase concentration.

Dance and Technique (NEW!) |

This class introduces the basic steps of Jazz, Ballet
and Modern. The class begins with basic stretching and
conditioning of the body core, focusing on isolations
of body parts and the learning of basic dance steps.
We will then proceed with across the floor combinations
and explore the dance elements of space and time as
well as shapes and levels. Each class will build up
to a routine of the basic steps and technique learned
throughout the class. No class 6/12 & 7/31.

to explore the craft of acting as they get to know themselves better.
Through exercises, games, movement, scene study, and improvisation the
focus will be on the individual and discovering the internal talents.
Students will be challenged and encouraged to act from truth, with
vulnerability, strength, humor, joy and openness of spirit.

| Fashion Design (NEW!) |

Does everyone
say you have a unique sense of style? Are you a fan of
the hit show 'Project Runway' on Bravo? Well in this fashion
design class you will be the fashion designer. What's
your task, you ask? Turn an ordinary t-shirt into a unique
outfit. You can add, take away, cut, dye, and sew, whatever
you choose to your t-shirt. All you need is your imagination!
Bring five plain white t-shirts in different sizes to
class. $10 additional cost per student will be needed
for additional materials. At the end of the class a fashion
show will be given to display your works of fashionable
art! Friends and family are invited.

| This class is a continuation of the beginner guitar
class. Students must have completed a Beginner Guitar
class or have a basic level of competency on the instrument.
This class will introduce more complex chords and melodic
concepts. There will be a greater emphasis on ensemble
playing within the structure of popular American song
forms. No guitars provided.

Jewelry Making |
 |
Have you ever searched for that perfect accessory
to go along with your favorite outfit? Wouldn't it be nice to have the skills to make your own?
In this class you will acquire the skills needed to make your own stylish and unique jewelry.
You will learn methods of designing, bead stringing, crimping, finishing, and basic wire
wrapping in a friendly and laid-back atmosphere. Projects include (but are not limited to)
necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and wire-linked chains & pendants.
Tool kits and jewelry designing boards are included in the fee.
An additional $40 fee will be paid to the instructor for string,
wire, clasps, earring hooks, and other materials. You will be able to
choose your own beads for each project. By the end of the class, you will
have created 6-7 projects and possess the tools and techniques needed to advance
your skills. No class 6/19.

Lights Camera Action |

This class will focus on
building self esteem and authenticity through acting games,
and exercises. Some examples are relaxation, body awareness,
imagination, concentration and focus, motor skills, trust,
characterization, and others. This class is designed to
encourage each child to express their wildest imaginations,
through acting. Roni Peterson of SilverLight Productions,
Inc. will bring her experience, from the "sets" of movies
and television commercials to the class room. Participants
will receive a DVD of their class participation. No
class 6/10 & 6/12.

In this class children are taught table manners, telephone etiquette,
essential social skills, and correspondence through a combination of role-play and
hands-on involvement. The workshop concludes with a lunch at a local restaurant
where the children can practice their skills. Transportation is provided by van.

| This dance class begins with a jazz technique warm-up,
and develops into modern based creative movement and
improvisation. The class moves back to jazz, with hip
hop combination that builds to a jam. No experience

| Learn tennis fundamentals using easy to learn
progressions that bring fast results with regular practice.
At the same time, we discover the feeling, rhythm, and
improvisation in tennis movements and strokes. We'll play
competitive games to gain confidence and motivation to improve.
By cooperating we help each other learn and find value in pure
enjoyment of the game. There will be some individual attention.
Learn new possibilities. You may want to practice with other
students between classes.

Improve all aspects of an all-court game.
This class is for those who have developed all of the 'basic' skills and can
rally consistently. Emphasis will be on playing with variety, quick preparation,
feel, and competitive know-how. Individual attention, error correction, and positive
support provided. This class features exciting and challenging clinic drill game
practice and tools for practice. This is where cooperation and competition meet.
Students can play together between classes.

other students after/between classes.

Tennis - Intermediate Adults |

For tennis players who have developed all of the 'basic' tennis skills.
At the least, you are fairly consistent when hitting medium-paced shots and you can play with some placement and variety.
With hitting drills and individual instruction, you will learn to use spin, ball control, and team work.
Error detection will help smooth out the rough edges. More advanced players are welcome as well.
Students can continue to practice together after/between classes.
